Junior Events Coordinator
Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Events Coordinator to join our growing event catering company. As well as many long-standing clients we also work closely with lots of venues in Bristol and Gloucestershire.
This role would suit someone who is currently looking to widen their events experience and further their career as part of a growing team.
The successful applicant will assist the company director in all aspects of event management, as well as scope to progress to managing a variety of events at different venues. Our events will include intimate fine dining to gala dinners, and we are looking for a team player who is enthusiastic and ready to embrace new challenges.
Job Responsibilities:
· Liaising with customers before and during events
· Responding to enquiries, answering telephone calls and liaising with clients, suppliers and staff in a proactive manner
· Representing the business at events
· Arranging wedding tastings for prospective clients
· Ensuring that all information relevant to an event is captured accurately
· Delivering occasional catering orders if required
· Conduct site visits of new event spaces

· Be well presented, friendly, welcoming and approachable
· Keen interest in the food/hospitality industry
· Excellent level of written and spoken English
· Basic understanding in the use of Microsoft Office
· Keen eye for detail
· Flexibility to work evening and weekends as required
· Own transport
Desirable:
Previous experience in the event/hospitality industry
Please note that this job does require weekend and evening work and a driving license is required.
Job Type: Part-time, Zero-hours contract. Opportunity to progress for right candidate.
